Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility
Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility VBSR was founded in 1990 by a group of business people who wanted to pioneer a new focus for business: The Multiple Bottom Line. They believed businesses have as much responsibility to workers, communities and the environment as they do to being financially successful.

VBSR has a diverse business membership that represents all sectors and geographic regions of Vermont. Collectively VBSR members employ more than 13% of Vermont's workforce and generate more than 4 billion dollars in revenue annually. VBSR's mission is to advance a business ethic that values multiple bottom lines - economic, social, and environmental. They do this by providing members with concrete resources and information to help improve their business practices, and by initiating change in public policy. VBSR creates the Local First Vermont Coupon Book, which Red Barn carries as a fundraising product for local customers.
