Companeros Café
Companeros Café sells coffee that build communities. Their coffee comes to you directly from small-scale, high-altitude, organic-certified farms in the Montaña de Comayagua national park in central Honduras. Companeros coffee sales support Honduran farmers and their communities by paying above fair trade prices for their green (unroasted) coffee, and by returning profits in the form of community development projects.

Companeros Café is proud to be a registered 501 C-3 nonprofit organization and is grateful for the generosity of Mané Alvez of Vermont Artisan Coffee and Tea Co. VBSR was founded in 1990 by a group of business people who wanted to pioneer a new focus for business: The Multiple Bottom Line. They believed businesses have as much responsibility to workers, communities and the environment as they do to being financially successful.

Collectively VBSR members employ more than 13% of Vermont's workforce and generate more than 4 billion dollars in revenue annually. They do this by providing members with concrete resources and information to help improve their business practices, and by initiating change in public policy. With a two-year-old son and a daughter on the horizon, Paul and Suzanna left behind their life in New York City, bought a 200-year-old house in North Ferrisburgh, Vermont and decided to embark on an entrepreneurial adventure. Using Paul’s sommelier expertise from the finest restaurants in New York combined with Suzanna’s legal background, as well as her childhood experience as the “family cookie baker,” Vermont Cookie Love was born. As a young girl, making chocolate chip cookies was something that always brought Suzanna’s family together. For her, homemade chocolate chip cookies symbolized love - hence the company name. Paul and Suzanna hope that you will enjoy some of the family togetherness that has made cookie baking so meaningful for them.
